Low white blood count and lymphocytopenia?
Syl C has provided a good answer although I am not certain that she actually answered your question. A low white blood count is leukopenia. Lymphocytopenia means a reduction in white blood cells due to a reduction in lymphocytes. This is most often seen in viral infections but may also be a normal variant. The marginal erythrocyte count (red blood cells) is probably meaningless. It does not sound as if you need to see a hematologist. I am much more concerned about your 25 hydroxy vitamin D level of 18 ng/mL. This deserves not only attention but treatment. Treatment usually beings with ergocalciferol (D2) and once the level is normalized the treatments shifts to cholecalciferol (D3). If I may be of further istance please let me know. I prefer direct email. I wish you the very best of health and happiness and in all things may God bless. JR
