I am making a header, virtual store front. How do I make the pixel size smaller? after saving the pic to a fil?

You can't really make the pixel size smaller. Pixels are something like a system of measurement like inches. You can, however, reduce the size of the image by resizing it through an image editor such as MS Paint or Photoshop.
