Can you correct my essay please?

Charles Ives was born in Danbury, Connecticut on October 20th 1874. He received his first instruction in piano and other instruments from his father at an early age. At the age of thirteen he started composing and made his first his piece little marches. By age fourteen he started to work as a salaried church organist. He worked with music with discipline for his age. His best piece was variations of America when he was seventeen. In his adult hood he became the first American clical composer. Ives music was largely ignored during his life, and many of his works where unperformed for many years. He composed many things like symphonies, overtures, and choral psalms. Later in his years Charles Ives suffered from several heart attacks which made him to stop composing. He still continued to rework his pieces. Ives was diagnosed with diabetes and later died of a stroke. His music included circus tunes, revival-meeting hymns, and patriotic songs, military marches, and jazz. He often experimented with music, and his music was England flavor.
